Antique 19th Century 'Pinkish' Italian Anchovy Pot 22cm Tall
This Anchovy Pot has a 'Pinkish' colouring which is now rare to find
This type of pottery is know as ‘robba bianca’ representing the finest and most expensive kind of domestic ‘ceramic rustica’.
Made with a pewter glaze, twice fired. Has been used for many years to preserve food so shows some signs of wear and use.
Circa 1880.
